Works with Assisted Living & Memory Care Residents.

Responsibilities

  1. Engage residents in the process of identifying, developing, implementing,coordinating and/or leading wellness programs (i.e., health promotion, lifelonglearning, & social/community engagement programs) that address their needsand desires.2. Develop, implement, coordinate and/or lead health promotion programs that mayinclude but are not limited to exercise classes, nutrition classes, stressmanagement classes, relaxation classes, health fairs and other similarprogramming.3. Develop, implement, coordinate and/or lead lifelong learning programs that mayinclude but are not limited to computer/technology classes, arts & crafts classes,book clubs, Bible study and other similar programming.4. Develop, implement, coordinate and/or lead social/community engagementprograms that may include but are not limited to birthday celebrations, specialevents, movie/theater/other off-site outings, overnight trips, volunteeropportunities and other similar programming.5. Collaborate with the Village Service Coordinator and other Village staff to offerwellness programs that address residents’ needs and desires.6. Seek and cultivate collaborative partnerships with community-basedorganizations to offer wellness programs that address residents’ needs anddesires.7. Assess residents’ satisfaction with the Village’s wellness programs and makeadjustments accordingly.8. Identify and assess wellness program outcomes and make adjustmentsaccordingly.9. Transport residents using the Village van/bus to off-site locations for shopping,banking, doctors’ visits, social outings, special events and other similar purposes.10.Maintain the Fitness Center and conduct Fitness Center orientations.11.Collaborate with PVM’s Director of Wellness to ensure that all wellness programsand equipment meet PVM’s quality and safety standards.12.Collaborate with the PVM Foundation to identify and secure grant and otherfunding for new and/or existing wellness programs.13.Develop and implement a data management and record keeping system forobtaining and maintaining all required wellness related data, records anddocuments.14.Design, author, edit, publish and/or distribute a variety of promotional materials,reports, and presentations including but not limited to newsletters, flyers,pamphlets, calendars, brochures and PowerPoint presentations.15.Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to:oPresbyterian Villages policies and procedures.oSafety policies and procedures.oFederal, state and local regulations.16. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of an associate’s degree in Wellness, Health Promotion, Recreation Management or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

Previous experience successfully developing, implementing, coordinating, managing, and leading health promotion, lifelong learning and social/community engagement programs preferred. Previous experience working with older adults in a senior living environment preferred.

Computer Skills

Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher, and MS PowerPoint.
