Eaton Corporation Composite Assembler - Leak Testing Operator in Westminster, Maryland

Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Composite Assembler - Leak Testing Operator.

The hours for this role are 3:00pm-11:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities are dependent on your station and may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Comply with all work and process instructions.

• Perform Leak Testing on pressure vessels

• Hydro-Test pressure vessels

• Input job values and specs into the machine computer

• Calibrate the machines

• Evaluate and determine correct set-up for the machines

• Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status to meet the required level of certified elements

• Participate in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.

• Utilization of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.

• Work safely and report all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.

• Responsible for ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.

• Identify improvement opportunities.

• Properly manage the traceability of components to ensure accuracy

You may also be asked to cross train on the following responsibilities at other stations on the production floor:

• Mix resin batches

• Load product into ovens

• Prep and tape cylinders for winding and painting operations

• Shaft and De-shaft cylinders

• Mix paint batches

• Paint cylinders

• Clean Cylinders

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of 2 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

• HS Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Experience with High Pressure Testing

• Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology

• Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts

• Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe’s, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.
