Cleveland Clinic Manager Cardiovascular Testing in Weston, Florida

As the Manager of Cardiovascular Testing, you will assist and help grow our cardiovascular testing team. Your duties will include:

  • Providing the day-to-day oversight of the Cardiovascular Testing Services.

  • Maintaining departmental quality assurance.

  • Completing staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides the day-to-day oversight of the Cardiovascular Testing Services, which is comprised of Echocardiography, Vascular Ultrasound, EEG Services, EMG Services, Electrocardiography Services as well as the outpatient Vein and Vascular Service.

  • Participates in long term strategic planning, including growth for the service line. Leads annual department budget.

  • Assure that all programs maintain operational excellence.

  • Maintains departmental quality assurance and supports continuous quality improvement.

  • Works to ensure understanding and compliance with policies and procedures related to accreditation, HIPAA, Joint Commission, ICAVL and other regulatory agency requirements.

  • Establishes and maintains department Standards of Care based on the patient population served (as defined in the department's Scope of Service) and helps to insure that the standards are met via direct observation/interaction with staff, education, and ongoing competency assessment.

  • Manages personnel.

  • Completes staffing, training, work flow analysis and performance management.

  • Manages staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives.

  • Maintains staffing to achieve productivity standards, coordinates services and coverage with other regional hospitals as needed.

  • Acts as the department liaison with Cardiologists and Vascular Surgeons.

  • Functions as the lead technical resource and advisor related to complex cases, technical procedure manual, training and development protocols for physicians and employees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Vascular Technology, Cardiopulmonary Science, or Allied Health related field required.

Certifications:

  • Must be a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer

  • Basic Life Support (BLS).

Complexity of Work:

  • Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Three to Five years clinical experience in Cardiac or Vascular specialty area which includes work in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision and frequent sitting, ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone and in person.

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

  • Must be able to travel between entities.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $30.41

Maximum hourly: $46.38
