Aerotek Machine Operator in WHARTON, New Jersey

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Primary responsibilities will be to operate plant machinery, which is used to bag and stage mulch, soil, stone, and limestone products. You will be required to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Your role will also involve setting stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates on a computer. You will be expected to observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction, and review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance, assuring product meets quality requirements. In addition to this, you will also be performing routine machine maintenance, assisting other operators to set up machines, and maintaining housekeeping standards. You will also be tasked with running a bagging/soil line.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 640 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in WHARTON, New Jersey.

Work Environment

Our work environment is very industrial and at times, may require some outside work in varying weather conditions (Rain/Snow).

Your standard working hours will be 4PM-4AM Monday - Thursday. However, initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift, likely for a few weeks, from 4AM-4PM. Once training is complete, you will be joining a light crew of 3 total workers on the 2nd shift.

This role requires independence and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. You will occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. from the ground level. This role also requires the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body – bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.
