Summit Park Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician in Wheatfield, New York
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team! We are hiring a part-time position (up to 31 hours/ week) with starting salary commensurate with experience. Our store hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing medications, managing inventory, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.Duties:- Assist a licensed pharmacist, as directed, in preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing of valid prescriptions.- Communicate with patients, facilities, payors, and prescribers regarding prescriptions.- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.- Perform other related duties as assigned.Skills:- Proficiency in customer service and patient care- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and procedures- Experience with comingling adherence packaging- Ability to preparing medications with precisionJob Type: Part-timePay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hourEducation: High school or equivalent requiredExperience: 1 year experience and/or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferredDriver's License requiredDay Shift requiredWork Location: In person (Wheatfield, NY 14304)Please email sarah@summitparkpharmacy.com or stop in for an application.
