Lockheed Martin Satellite Systems Engineer - Clearance Required in White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer to join the SAGE Team located in White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. This position supports the Government and its customers by supporting 24x7 operations, monitoring production systems, and ensuring customers are receiving the most accurate, relevant products they need to accomplish their missions.

1. Achieve and maintain certifications in accordance with the contractor’s and customer’s formal training programs

2. Monitor operational processing operations systems and data flow for nominal status

3. Provide on-shift subject matter expertise

4. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures

5. Execute test methodologies for production systems and their associated products

6. Coordinate with analysts and engineers from other disciplines

7. Develop procedures and CONOPs for operational execution

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding of user needs and operational environments

• Demonstrated capability and success working in a customer environment with a multi-contractor, geographically diverse team

• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet time critical needs/demands with close attention to detail

• Ability to support and perform 24x7 operations

**Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Poly or ability to obtain, US citizenship required**

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience with processing systems and architecture

• Familiar with scripting languages

• Experience with Linux operating systems and command line interfaces

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Rotating 40 hour week as assigned by leader
