VCA Animal Hospitals Lead Veterinary Technician in Wichita Falls, Texas

VCA Callfield Animal Hospital is seeking a talented Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join and lead as a Technician Supervisor full time. We are an AAHA accredited, full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Wichita Falls, Texas. Our professional and courteous staff seeks to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for their highly-valued patients. When it comes to managing other vet techs, a lead vet tech has a few key responsibilities:

  1. Assigning tasks: The lead vet tech delegates responsibilities to other technicians, ensuring that each team member has a clear understanding of their duties and expectations.

  2. Providing guidance and support: They offer guidance and support to other vet techs, answering questions, providing feedback, and helping them improve their skills.

  3. Training and development: Lead vet techs play a crucial role in training new technicians, ensuring they are properly trained in protocols, procedures, and best practices.

  4. Monitoring performance: They regularly assess the performance of other technicians, providing constructive feedback and addressing any areas for improvement.

  5. Fostering teamwork: Lead vet techs promote a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication among the team.

  6. Addressing conflicts: If any conflicts or issues arise among the technicians, the lead vet tech steps in to mediate and find resolutions that maintain a harmonious work environment.
