Newman University, a mission-driven, catholic, liberal arts university, is recruiting adjuncts to teach courses and/or supervise students within the clinical setting for our Nursing program and during the 2024-2025 academic year.*Minimum qualifications include at least a BSN degree.*

*Stewardship Statement:*

This position is responsible to cultivate and maintain the institutions Catholic identity and its mission to empower graduates to transform society. As a member of the Newman University community, adjuncts will join with the institutions sponsors, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ (ASC Sisters), to witness Gods love in Mission to empower others, foster oneness, celebrate life, form right relationships, and walk as compassionate companions.

*Responsibilities:*

1. Teachcourses appropriate to academic qualifications.
2. Maintainhigh standards as teachers and engaging students in laboratory and/or clinical educational settings.
3. Inform students of their progress by promptly returning graded assignments, quizzes, and examinations with appropriate feedback.
4. Utilize the Learning Management Systems, i.e. Canvas, and other technology as appropriate.
5. Developand maintainclinical education content for assigned course(s).
6. Superviseclinical activities effectively and assesseducational outcomes appropriately.
7. Consult with the Dean or Nursing Program Director regarding concerns.
8. Complete university-required training courses and other duties as assigned.

*Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:*

1. Master in nursing preferred, bachelor in nursing required.
2. Experience in clinical education preferred.
3. Experience in adult medical surgical nursing required.
4. Must hold a current Kansas professional nursing license.
5. Must pass background check and drug screening.
6. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
