The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Your Tasks:

  • Consolidating the commercial planning and reporting processes (LBE & IBP “Integrated Business Planning”) for International markets (EMEAP, LATAM and APAC)

  • Communicate and follow-up on commercial planning topics with relevant stakeholders, highlighting next steps and defining action plans to exploit opportunities or avoid vulnerabilities versus business commitments

  • Establish strong communication within Area, Global and Affiliates to drive best practices and related impact on commercial models

  • Collaborate with Area Leadership team, Area Finance & Demand, Global and country Commercial & PMO stakeholders to present an integrated plan of commercial assumptions for business plans

  • Understand major strategies for the Area and Affiliates. Serve as a link between International Markets, Global and Affiliates

  • Collaborate with Finance, commercial and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration with the financial forecasting processes

  • Continuously establish, evaluate, and improve the set of KPIs needed to best support the business planning and associated decision-making process

  • Provide Affiliates and Area departments with the tools and the support to efficiently run the planning & reporting process

  • Proactively identify, develop, and lead rollout of new tools, systems and processes to simplify and improve effectiveness

Your Qualification:

  • Graduate university level education – preferably in business/scientific-related disciplines. Advanced degree and previous commercial planning/consulting/demand or other relevant experience is a plus

  • Previous experience at least in one of the desired fields: commercial excellence, sales force effectiveness, business intelligence, consulting, project management or commercial/financial planning and analysis

  • At least 3 years of previous experience within the Pharma/Medical or Diabetes sector is preferred

  • Experience including accomplishments in new market entries, product launches, project management, demand and supply management, sales planning and working in Area/regional roles in a multi-national company is a plus

  • Excellent ability to effectively convey clear and concise messages, tailoring training, communication, and presentations to a diverse audience within the organization

  • Displays a desire for continuous learning and development, demonstrating potential for growth and capability of moving on to roles with extended responsibilities

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel (VBA, statistical analysis, dashboards, logical functions, data functions) & PowerPoint) is a must, SAP APO or IBP demand planning modules and Power BI knowledge a plus

  • Advanced communications skills both verbal and written in English
