Amentum is seeking a Utility Food Service Worker located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Utility Food Service Worker assist with food preparation during the various service shift.

Job Requirements:

• Performing food preparation

• Brewing coffee,

• Equipment maintenance

• May also clean dishes

• Transport things to and from storage

• Operate equipment like mixers, ovens, or grills.

• May cook all cuts of various meats

• Operate dishwasher and disposes of trash

• Washes, cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, food preparation and sanitation equipment

• May be required to operate, maintain, and/or clean food service equipment including temperature-controlled storage units, dry storage containers, steamers, ovens, fryers, broilers, grills, meat slicers, knifes, pots, pans, floors, walls, windows, and outside areas

• Performs a variety of simple, routine, unskilled tasks related to the preparation and serving of food

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years' experience as a preparation chef in the restaurant industry or relevant experience

• High school degree or equivalent

• Able to read and follow standardized recipes

• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures

• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

• ServeSafe Certification preferred

• Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experience

• Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends

• Able to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or more

• Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift

• Must possess a government issue clearance at time of application
