PURCHASING PLANT MANAGER - JENNIE-O TURKEY STORE - WILLMAR AVE PLANT (WILLMAR, MN)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for inventory dollars, inventory turns, and inventory accuracy.
Utilizes materials requirements planning (MRP), Oracle and EAMS to purchase supplies.
Manages and approves plant purchase requisitions and purchase orders for direct supplies.
Manages and approves purchase requisitions for indirect supplies, MRO, and services.
Supervises all Purchasing Department employees. Areas include the supply storeroom and mechanical storeroom and corporate purchasing.
Provides customer services to our internal and external customers. Resolves supplier issues, purchases order issues, production & planning issues, accounts payable issues and others.
Leads supplier negotiations at the plant level.
Coordinates expedites daily to meet late production demands, or late customer demands.
Utilizes Supplier Quality Management (SQM) to communicate delivery, administrate, and quality issues.
Obtains supply and supplier documents (such as supply approvals and guarantee letters) as necessary.
Maintains valid data in purchasing software.
Through leadership, development of competencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Record of successful experience in purchasing, supply chain, operations, or a related field
Strong pattern of initiative and achievement
Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States

Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Functional knowledge and understanding of the following computer/software programs: Financial Systems Software (Oracle) and EAMS
Functional knowledge of MRP systems
Experience managing large teams both directly and remotely
LOCATION: Willmar, MN
A comprehensive relocation package to the Willmar, MN area will be offered, if required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 10% of the time.
