Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

Join our team as an experienced Carpenter! You will be responsible for installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work. Moreover, your tasks will include designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation. You will also handle adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures. Part of your role will be selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style, and calculating the number of fasteners required for each job. Lastly, you will be liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals, and reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations.

Work Environment

You will be working in a customer-facing role outdoors for residential customers. Your projects will include working on pergolas, pool houses, pools, finishing basements, etc.
