Robert Half Tax Manager in Wilmington, Delaware
Description
Prestigious firm located in the Greater Wilmington Delaware area seeks a Tax Manager with expertise working with high-net-worth businesses or individuals. The Tax Manager will be responsible for answering and researching legal/trust related tax inquiries, ensuring compliance with tax laws, managing tax-related matters, advising on tax strategies for trust accounts/estates/etc., preparing and filing federal, state and local tax returns for trust/estates/individuals, providing technical assistance when needed, and collaborating with legal and investment professionals to address tax implications and transactions. To be successful in this role, the Tax Manager must have in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
What you get to do everyday
· Timely preparing and filing of all tax returns
· Identify and mitigate tax risks
· Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly projections
· Develop tax strategies
· Assist with international tax and transfer pricing
· Implement best practices and improvements
· Coordinate tax audits
· Review and process Form 1041
· Review staff tax transactions
· Oversee special tax related projects
Requirements
The ideal Tax Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation.
Other requirements for the Tax Manager role include and are not limited to:
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in Tax, 10-15 years preferred
· 3 years of Public Accounting experience
· Active CPA preferred
· Knowledge of directed trust tax issues is strongly preferred
