Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The eCommerce Business Analyst serves as lead consultant to University merchants for eCommerce operations across campus by analyzing their eCommerce needs. This position develops and maintains productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position interprets Payment Card, industry, state, and University policies and procedures and correctly applies that knowledge to advise stakeholders, administer the eCommerce Office, implement solutions, resolve issues and provide analytical guidance for the eCommerce program. The eCommerce Business Analyst oversees the day-to-day eCommerce operations, provides independent consultation and training to campus merchants, and acts as the back-up for the Payment Card Industry (

PCI) Compliance Coordinator. This position assists the

PCI Compliance Coordinator in collecting and maintaining merchant

PCI compliance documentation, assist in

PCI training, and serves on the

PCI committee.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Five to seven (5-7) years experience related to the e-commerce business analyst work description.
  • Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Standards
  • Knowledge of bank and card association rules
  • Payment gateway experience
  • eCommerce experience with multiple merchant types in a higher education environment
  • Software applicat on support experience
  • Knowledge of the State's Merchant Card Acceptance Policies

Required Certifications or Licensures

After hiring/joining within 9-12 months, this position will need to become an

PCI Accessor certified individual on behalf of

UNCW.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The Finance team within the Division of Business Affairs supports the University's mission, strategic vision, goals, and objectives by providing key financial services efficiently and effectively. The Finance team provides financial services directly to students and the campus community. Units within Finance include the Controller's Office, the Office of Budget and Financial Analytics, Purchasing Services, and Financial Systems.

Financial Systems is part of the fiscal operation of

UNCW under the supervision of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance. Financial Systems provides consultant, implementation, integration and analyst services for university financial, eCommerce, travel and procurement systems.
