Associate Engineer Validation
Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for validation and development testing of automotive mechatronics products which include ADAS Clear Visions Systems and Fuel Systems with Smart Valves
Planning, set up, and working with complex data acquisition and control systems, using environmental chambers, vibration testing systems and other appropriate test equipment to evaluate, document, and report results.
Evaluate, interpret, and validate test results and define counter measures.
Drive the failure analysis process to determine root cause of test failures
Lead reporting and corrective action discussions, internally with the customer
Design and specify testing methodology, test equipment and test systems including outsourcing of tests as necessary
Define test procedures and specifications for mechatronic systems, following the Kautex generic validation strategy.
Ensure knowledge about and compliance with Customer Specific Requirements throughout your team and if necessary, define training measures
Coordinate internal and external functional tests regarding timing, status and cost.
Coordinate national and international development partners in the projects
Check and evaluate product and test specifications in the quotation phase
Calculate test and validation costs for internal and external quotations
Support the Technical Project Leader in designing the system architecture, providing functional expertise
Support Zero-Failure-Strategy reliably and substantially in accordance to ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 26262 / ASPICE
Ensure safety and environment protection at assigned field of activity in accordance with ISO-14001, OHSAS-18001
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
Testing and Validation experience encompassing mechatronic systems, including instrumentation and knowledge of ISO 16750 in the Automotive environment is welcome
Basic capabilities in test equipment such as multimeters, scopes, wave generators, signal analyzers and data acquisition systems with various sensors
Basic programming or coding skills (ie. LabView, MATLAB, Simulink, C, C , Python, Vector tools (or similar))
Basic understanding of embedded microcontrollers and vehicle network protocols such as CAN and LIN
Strong capabilities in MS Office especially Excel
Ability to lead projects and work in a team environment with basic project management skills (i.e. timing, planning, budgeting, etc…)
Good problem solving skills, self-motivated, self-learning, hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity and drive for excellence
