We are hiring an Associate Designer, Citrus to join our team at the new Citrus Innovation Center located in Lakeland, Florida.
Your Focus
As the Associate Beverage designer, you will support the team during product development work and supporting Citrus R&D & Innovation. Based upon instructions around all food and beverage applications you will provide technical services within the IFF multi-functional citrus team in our cutting-edge Citrus Innovation Center. This position both responds to the innovation needs of the business and its execution as well as opportunities for development and mentorship.
This role will boost your creativity, innovation, and presentation skills!
How you will Contribute
You will work as part of a highly experiences team with diverse on exciting projects within citrus food applications.
IFF expects you to cultivate innovation and creativity ensuring the successful launches of our new product lines.
You work both independently and as a team member, on all types of internal development briefs. You will provide beverage and food development support, working closely with the cross-category teams on a global level to drive creation and modification of innovative designs and flavors.
You will demonstrate creativity in working with a global team to maximize IFF technology & innovative practices.
You will learn strong finished product knowledge with excellent problem-solving abilities, as part of a cross-functional teams focusing on product, project or innovation developments.
You work out product formulations and demos using knowledge of industrial standards, country specific, and market requirements.
Anticipates, investigates, and resolves problems related to raw materials, solutions, finished prototypes and initial scale-up procedures.
You support sensorial testing in basic solutions as well in finished product applications, including running sensory stability protocols.
You will ensure your activities are in line with IFF policies, and Global Innovation Rules as well as safety, hygiene and efficient day-to-day operations of the Beverage laboratory and facilities. Commitment to all company policies, rules, regulations, IFF quality is an absolute must.
Job Requirements
Degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Human Nutrition)
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferred Master’s degree.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in industrial food, ingredient or flavor industry.
Experience in Beverage development and testing is a plus.
Experience with Beverage sensory test protocols.
Excellent English written and verbal communications, additional language are considered a plus.
Comfortable with IT Systems and Applications.
Logical, methodical and analytical thought processes.
Accuracy and attention to details with agility to adapt in changing environment.
Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to influence.
Outstanding Team player with excellent Communication skills.
