Due to a replacement, we are now hiring an Executive Manager, BI&A Lead, Travel Retail Worldwide for our Data to Report team (TR) in Wollerau, Switzerland.
Job Description:
The Executive Manager, BI&A Lead, Travel Retail ww leads our functional Center of Excellence for Data, Business Insights & Analytics. The Global lead is responsible for building, guiding, and adapting our business analytics strategy and capabilities to reflect our key business priorities. This role is responsible for leading a globally dispersed team of experts across four main areas. The team serves many customers, both internal as well as external. Internal customers are within supply chain, such as customer services, supply and event management, transportation, and indirect procurement, but also outside of the supply chain in areas such as sales, marketing, finance/business management as well as general management. Additionally, the Executive Manager, BI&A Lead, Travel Retail ww takes part in global initiatives and projects – both internal and external - and works with global teams on continuous improvement initiatives, in all the areas mentioned above.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Data and Analytics
Ideate and design the future of Business Insights & Analytics capabilities, tools, and processes for Travel Retail Worldwide
Partner with BACC lead to actively manage project pipeline for new tools and capabilities – allocate resources as necessary to most critical business objectives
Develops data Standards and ensures data accuracy and consistency at all times.
Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management systems, processes & standards
Implement controls and compliance processes to reduce data issues and improve data quality
Lead TR and supply chain into new data requirements that arise due to new rules and regulations
Represent Travel Retail in global projects around data and analytics
Work with Global IT team to direct resources and support (in conjunction with VP TR IT lead) for new projects and of existing platforms/tools
Manage execution of TR master data management, execution of data interface with commercial partners and retailers
Commercial Responsibility
- Act as a data and analytics partner to the commercial leadership in the region/channel as well as to our retailers/customers
Strategic
Translate TR business strategy priorities to business analytics projects
Act as a thought leader in the areas of analytics, data, and integration
Know market trends and future capabilities and advise on how these can support Travel Retail data and insights aspirations
Building Capability
Based on long-term strategy, in the area of data and analytics, define technology and capability needs to support the growth and evolution of the business
Broaden team reach beyond Switzerland, beyond TR Supply Chain. Bring analytics mindset to other TR functions including (but not restricted to Strategy and Business Development, Pricing, Marketing Effectiveness, Finance, Consumer insights, etc.
Design and create strategies to evolve the TR BI&A organization structure to position the organization to deliver new capabilities
Foster regional and global sharing of best practices, and build relations across ELC BI&A functions
Educate and Train TR organization how to use new tools, drive change management, and establish new behaviors
Leadership
Manage and lead teams: BACC (Business Analytics Competency Center), D2R (Data to Report), Master Data management, EDI, Tools training and adoption
Ensure a positive and engaging environment
Leverage Estée Lauder’s high-touch culture to drive performance and employee engagement
Develop talent. Maximize the team’s high performance by setting performance expectations for the team with ongoing coaching and support
Create an environment that clearly translates the business strategy and objectives into a culture of continuous improvement, delivery of results, and change management.
Foster collaborative relationships and cross-functional work teams.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who brings:
Minimum of 10 years of experience with data
Considerable understanding of processes in sales, marketing, supply chain and finance
Technology savvy
Superior organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communicator – translating between technical concepts and business priorities
Strong influencing skills – work with cross-functional senior leaders in TR and across the greater ELC organization to garner buy-in
Strong ability to have effective strategic discussions at senior levels of an organization and to deep dive into technical discussions with the working team
Strong interpersonal and influencing - skills
Team player
Business fluent in English
