BMW Of North America Financial Analyst in WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey

The Financial Analyst is a shared role the controlling operations team and the credit management team. Within the controlling operations team this role is responsible for the controlling of marketing, personnel cost, structural overheads, and capital invest including target steering and monitoring, system controls, market COOP / dealer funding and digitalization. As well as support with the implementation of the GFBB project in the US market. Within the credit management team this role is responsible for credit and collection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Target steering and monitoring:
Prepare and support BMW Group planning submissions (Budget / Forecast / ad hoc requests) in
adherence with BMW Group reporting guidelines for marketing, personnel cost, structural overheads
and capital invest
Allocate budgets to department cost centers based on approved funding metrics
Prepare monthly financial close in close collaboration with accounting and relevant
Prepare detailed monthly analysis of actuals vs. plan and monitor level of target achievement
Assist with preparing financial analysis for various divisions
Recommend measures to management to ensure target achievement
Advise management of risks and potentials

System controls:
Perform financial controlling review and release as per purchasing policy for purchase requisitions, call off purchase orders, miscellaneous billing, new project proposals, and financial process changes with a focus on approved budget topics
Support preparation and allocation of budget and forecast within local finance system(s)
Ensure proper controls are implemented with local finance systems and recommend internal controls
where needed
Ensure all controls are being met, budget impact is measured, evaluated, and internal approval
processes are being adhered to before release
Support and follow-up on any audit points
Create WBS elements and cost centers. Ensure project coding is compliant with Group international
finance template

Digitalization:
Improve and automate existing processes using BI tools (e.g. QLIK Sense)
Update and maintain existing BI tools

GFBB:
Support implementation of GFBB in the US market

Credit and collection activities:
Assist with all credit and collection activities associated with the Credit Management function
Call dealers for payment on past due parts statements and motorcycle payments
Assist with the daily auto drafting process including preparing the drafting proposal, executing the
proposal, confirming drafting success and cash confirmations
Reviewing employee accounts and contacting employees who are past due for payment
Work closely with the Accounts Receivable function to ensure all cash applied accordingly
Prepare check, ACH and intercompany transfer requests as needed
Review parts and motorcycle orders on credit review to determine next steps
Assist with lien filings ("UCC"), on dealers, to ensure BMW's collateral is secure

The pay range for this role is: $74,831.00 - $87,642.00.
*Please note this is a 24 month temporary position.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting/Controlling, Economics or related field
1 years experience in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Economics or Financial Markets

Preferences:
BMW Group Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including but not limited to, Excel, Power Point, Word)
Experience using BI tools (e.g. QLIK Sense, Tableau)
