Payroll Specialist in York, Maine

Our client in York is currently seeking an individual with an associate degree and 2+ years of finance/payroll or related experience to work as a Payroll Specialist! This is a temp-to-hire position. Apply today!

Pay: $24 - $25 per hour

Location: Wells, Maine

Schedule: M-Th 7:30a-5p, F 7:30a-12:30p

What you’ll be doing:

• Performing payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local standards

• Completing onboarding and maintaining employee personnel and confidential files

• Extracting data from the payroll database and providing reports for various departments

• Communicating payroll issues to employees and supervisors to ensure accurate payroll processing

• Auditing monthly benefits invoices for discrepancies

Here’s what you need to apply:

• Associate degree and 2+ years of finance/payroll or related experience

• Knowledge of state and federal pay and benefits laws and regulations; multi-state experience is a plus

• Effective communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and analytical abilities
