Key Responsibilities

  • Generates production plan and schedule which optimizes resources and the number of changeovers.

  • Firms and releases production orders.

  • Completes and manages capacity and resource planning for the assigned area.

  • Develops and utilizes tool necessary to evaluate manufacturing capacity and determine resource requirements.

  • Identifies and works to resolve equipment capacity and resource constraints.

  • Ensures lineside inventory accuracy.

  • Develops material storage strategy and delivery processes and systems for manufacturing cells.

  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Actively participates in the S&OP process.

  • Sets priorities with Manufacturing Supervisor.

  • Partners with Procurement to plan raw materials and ensure consistent component availability.

  • Works closely and communicates with Marketing, Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D regarding status of their assigned products.

  • Completes reporting, as required.

  • Perform related work and other duties, as required.

Typical Background

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Three to Five years of experience in manufacturing / assembly

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of AX or other ERP software preferred

  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), e-mail and Internet Experience with forecasting systems

  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Previous manufacturing experience in a regulated industry preferred
