The DSCOT Technology team develops and supports systems and processes that make planning, manufacturing, launching and supporting our devices as efficient and friction-less as possible. We are growing and looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to help build our Supply Chain and Ops platform. We own and build platforms to support everything from Supply Planning, Materials Management, Product Lifecycle Management to Device Costing, among others.

You will be working on a AWS based full stack application platform including Java, Spring, React, RDS (Dynamo and Aurora), Redshift and Data science+ML tools that our team uses to solve complex Supply Chain optimization problems.

Key job responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing and launching high-quality software systems to solve complex problems with big impact

  • Working across a broad range of AWS technologies to build full-stack web applications, distributed systems software and automation workflows

  • Collaborating with a diverse range of cross-functional roles, including engineering, product, customers and business stakeholders across the company

  • Promoting a culture of engineering excellence by establishing best practices and technical standards across the organization

  • Consulting with engineers from across the organization on architecture and design of new systems to solve some of our hardest engineering problems.

A day in the life

During the day-to-day, a SW Development Engineer in the Device Supply Chain Team:

  • Communicates with business teams in Devices/AWS to name a few.

  • Communicates with partner tech teams in Devices and AWS.

  • Collects business requirements

  • Helps describe software product features

  • Builds technical designs and architecture

  • Maintains highly available services and critical device components

About the team

Our team is responsible of building a Saas product which impacts making Devices supply chain as efficient and frictionless as possible. This is a multi-year cross-org project that requires solving hard technical problems and has huge business impact to manufacturing supply chain across Amazon orgs.

Our vision is to have all Amazon Manufacturing Supply Chains, its subsidiaries like Ring, Blink and Eero, Data Centers, etc using our Supply Chain solutions.

Our team needs to interact with multiple teams across organizations to support and collaborate on the innovative solutions for our internal+external customers.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Zapopan, MEX

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
