Perform ID and CAC issuance support services by processing identification issuance requests and supporting the Government’s issuance of identification badges for building and system access systems. Assists with US Passport applications with possible travel to the US embassy in Amman to facilitate applications and passport issuance.

Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Perform all functions required to issue ID cards, Geneva Conventions cards, Teslin cards, CAC issuance-related tasks to include review, research, verification of source documents eligibility, discussing entitlements as defined in DoDI 1000.13, the DoD RAPIDS Workstation and Verifying Official Information System (VOIS), and the RAPIDS Training Guide on a daily basis.

  • Take appointments via telephone and email request through the generic ID card email account, if applicable, or manage the DMDC centralized ID card appointment scheduler.

  • Update the on-line calendar daily to reflect new appointments and provide same day replies to requestors.

  • Manage the accountability and control the issuance of military ID cards and CAC for Active component military, National Guard and Reserve Members, military retirees, family members/dependents and other eligible recipients.

  • Maintain 100% accountability of serially numbered ID cards and report any missing cards within one business.

  • Manage ID card stock to ensure there are no interruptions in the issuance of ID cards and CACs.

  • Register, process, and maintain DEERS and RAPIDS information as part of VO responsibilities on a daily basis.

  • Assist customers; provide advice on eligibility requirements, and process applications to determine eligibility.

  • Enroll and disenroll personnel in DEERS.

  • Research and reconcile DEERS information based on inquiries.

  • Update DEERS/RAPIDS within one hour of approval and respond to inquiries not later than one business day following the inquiry.

  • Follow-up and resolve discrepancies not later than two business days following notification.

  • Verify eligibility and issued Contractor ID badges in accordance with local policy and maintain a log of issued badges with daily updates.

  • Perform routine operator level maintenance on RAPIDs Workstation and printers IAW applicable instructions, standards and best practices stated in the VOIS standards.

  • Performs intermediate work conducting accurate and efficient data entry while processing a wide variety of duties including U.S. Passports. Assists the customers with passport applications and questions while following federal guidelines for a successful submission.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members of the Armed Forces, family members, civilians and contractors. Assist customers; provide advice on eligibility requirements, and process applications to determine eligibility.

  • Perform all functions required to issue ID cards, ID tags, Geneva Convention cards, and CAC issuance-related tasks to include review, research, and verification of source documents eligibility, and discussing entitlements.

  • ID issuance through verification of the recipient’s eligibility shall be performed with a 100 percent degree of accuracy.

  • Manage the DMDC centralized ID card appointment scheduler. Update the on-line calendar daily to reflect new appointments and provide same day replies to requestors.

  • Manage the accountability and control the issuance of military ID cards and CAC for Active component military, National Guard and Reserve Members, military retirees, family members/dependents and other eligible recipients.

  • Reconcile DEERS information based on inquiries. Updates DEERS/RAPIDS within one hour of approval and responds to inquiries not later than one business day following the inquiry. Follow-up and resolve discrepancies not later than two business days following notification. Understand Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) 1000-13 and DoDI 1000.13 Volumes 1 through 3.

  • Travel to US Embassy in Amman is possible.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • High School Diploma, GED or High School equivalent education level.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess at least two (2) years' experience as a Verifying Official and possess identification badges for building and system access and DoD CAC Card issuance policies and procedure.

  • Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.

  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.

  • Must speak, read, and comprehend English.

  • Must be able to understand printed regulations, detailed written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials and perform the duties assigned.

    SKILLS:

  • Good communication, teamwork and analytical skills.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, working independently.

  • Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements.

  • Proficient in MS Office products
