Objective / Purpose of Position
- Management and safeguarding of the ship, responsibility for the safety of guests and crew, personnel management
Main Responsibilities
Assisting the 1st Captain with management of the ship according to existing law and regulations
All tasks that are necessary for a safe command of the vessel
Assisting the 1st Captain with all safety and security procedures and documents according to company rules
Taking over command of the ship when required
Requirements:
Good command of German and/or English language
Competed training with valid Captain licenses for Rhine/Danube/Elbe and/or other rivers
Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position
Radar and Radio Transmission licenses
Certificates for “Safety Expert for Passenger Vessels” and “First Aid” are a benefit
