About the Role

We are currently looking for the Director Group FP&A responsible for leading and directing the Group’s Financial Planning & Analysis department, ultimately responsible for generating high-quality and relevant performance management intelligence for the Barry Callebaut Group. Reporting into the VP Global FP&A, this is a highly visible role and coordinates the timely delivery of in-depth financial analysis and provision of quantitative, analytical information to Finance Business Partners as well as Senior Management to support strategic and tactical decision-making. This job proactively develops and drives the Group’s strategy for the Financial Planning & Analysis department. The Director Group FP&A steers initiatives aimed at sharing best practices and continuous improvement of analytics as well as reporting processes. This role ensures that efficient, harmonized and high-quality reporting & analysis is implemented as well as maintained in accordance with Financial Planning & Analysis guidelines, principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of high quality financial business performance analysis for the Barry Callebaut Group with a forward looking view

  • Coordination of the annual mid-term plan preparation by the Regions/ Business Units, deck preparation for presenting to the Board of Directors

  • Leading the planning, budgeting and rolling forecast process within the Group. Target setting for the annual bonus plan

  • Capital allocation process and assessment of returns for global projects across the group

  • Best practice implementation/ continuous improvement, standardization of reports, analysis tools etc.

  • Provide analytical insights to Commercial Excellence, Group Marketing Function

  • Monitor SG&A for Group functions identifying corrective actions, also benchmarking costs both externally and internally

  • Keeping Working capital under control and highlight potential risk and opportunities, reflecting them in Free Cash Flow forecasting

  • Active involvement in projects impacting group level

  • Managing key stakeholders (VP Global FP&A; Group’s top management (CEO, CFO); Global Chocolate CFO; Global Cocoa CFO; Regional CFOs; Group Finance; CSD (Customer Supply and Development Organization).

    About You

  • Master in Finance/ Economics or business administration

  • Strong understanding of full set of financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow), incl. financial ratios

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance

  • Strong knowledge of controlling and financial methodologies and reporting

  • Strong financial modelling skills

  • Good understanding of Accounting processes and standards (IFRS)

  • Analytical / hands-on/ flexible/ solutions oriented

  • Leadership skills in managing people in an international environment and building effective teams

  • Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B/ food industry

  • Strategic mindset/ ability to manage complexity

  • Effectively manage and influence stakeholders on all levels of the organization

  • Continuously striving to deliver beyond the standard job description of the role

  • Willingness to understand the “business behind figures” and “get to the bottom” of issues

  • Willingness to continuously optimize, improve; challenging status quo

  • English business proficiency (written and spoken)
